REV. REGINA B. PENNINGTON

Reverend Regina Pennington is an Itinerant Elder in the Second Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Prior to her transfer to the Virginia Conference and her Pastoral Appointment as Pastor of Seed of Hope AME Mission Church, Richmond, VA, she served on the ministerial staff of Reid Temple AME Church, located in Glenn Dale, Maryland, under the dynamic ministry and leadership of the now retired Pastor Reverend Dr. Lee P. Washington, and current Pastor, Rev. Dr. Mark E Whitlock, Jr.
Rev. Pennington loves the Lord and sharing God’s love with others through service. She is an anointed teacher, leader, preacher, mentor and facilitator. Rev. Regina Pennington has also been an employee of Reid Temple AME Church for over 20 years. She has held several positions during her tenure, such as managed Reid Temple AME Church’s Community Development Program. She oversaw the day to day operation of the churches 501c3 organizations, served as The Interim Executive Director, for Reid Community Development Corporation and supervised and was a the Noon Day Bible Study instructor. Rev. Pennington is co-author of the From Membership to Discipleship Manual and has served on various ministries within the life of the Church by providing information to its members and the community at large on discipleship, stewardship and finance all based on Biblical foundation to include the Reid Temple AME Church’s Women’s Council, Master’s Touch Outreach Ministry and Faith & Finance Stewardship workshops..
Rev. Pennington received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In May 2007, she received her Masters of Divinity Degree from Howard University’s School of Divinity, in Washington, DC.
Rev. Pennington’s life’s motto is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
God has blessed Rev. Pennington, with a wonderful husband, Derek Pennington, Sr, 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
